Hello, I’m Nick Nguyen, founder and principal photographer of Noir 9 Creatives.
My work is rooted in presence, connection, and honest expression. I approach photography as both documentation and collaboration—honoring the subtle, unscripted moments while guiding with intention when needed. Every project is shaped by a deep respect for people, interaction, and atmosphere.
I’m drawn to authenticity over performance and believe the most meaningful imagery comes from creating space for others to be fully themselves. My role is to protect, interpret, and preserve what’s real—so it can be felt long after the moment has passed.
Outside of photography, I’m inspired by conversation, creativity, coffee, writing, and the quiet curiosity of exploring new ideas and experiences. I look forward to connecting.

My name is Khang and I was born in Atlanta but raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I grew up in a Vietnamese household where the emphasis on stability pushed me into corporate America fresh out of college. Just following life’s expectation left my heart-tank on empty. Stability didn’t feel like satisfaction but kept me questioning my current situation. Feeling unexpressed and inauthentic, I took a leap of faith and left the 9-5 structure with no plans or expectations. Little did I know, my decision led me towards the path of videography.
This craft allowed me to unapologetically pour my feelings and creativity to the world. It created a place where anyone from anywhere in the world could connect together in one space, the heart. Showing up in the world as my authentic self stirs new found excitement in my life where now I’m able assist others in expressing their self and vision.
